About the Family‘s History
To date, the earliest bearer of the family name ZWIRTZ is a master tailor with name Joachim ZWIRTZ, registered in 1698 in a christening record of the Protestant Church of Preussisch Friedland in Prussia (today Debrzno, located in Poland). He is documented as the father of a newly born and christened daughter Anna   Ertmud ZWIRTZ. Elisabeth   CLAVIENS is listed as the mother. Unfortunately, daughter Anna   as well as her yet known siblings all deceased at child age. At last, also Joachim ZWIRTZ deceased at the same location in 1709 . Only the whereabouts of wife and the children‘s mother Elisabeth remain unknown. However, the existance of this family appears to have come to an end and no further traces of bearers of the family name can be found in Preussisch Friedland . To date, there is no evidence that there is a family relationship between this family and the ZWIR T Z families in focus.
