declairs
war
against
Austria.
In
course
of
this
war,
which
lasts
until 1797, France among other territory, occupies Belgium completely.
In
1793
,
the
Austrian
Netherlands
are
recaptured
by
a
coalition
formed
by
Holland,
Austria,
Prussia,
Great
Britain,
Spain,
Sardinia,
Naples,
Portugal
and
the Roman-German Empire.
With
the
new
occupation
by
France
in
1795,
the
Austrian
regency
finally
ends
in
1797
with the
Peace of Campo Formio
.
