To what is known today, a total of eight descendants, all sons from three families residing in Samotschin , Liepe und Gromaden , left their home country during the time period 1867 until 1884 via harbours in Bremen , Hamburg and Swinemünde in order to make „their fortune“ abroad and start their own families in America. According to the population census conducted in the USA every ten years since 1790, three brothers, Gottlieb   Ferdinand , Ludwig   Johann   Carl and Ernst Gustav ZWIRZ (known in the USA as Fred , John   and Ernest ZWIRZ) immigrated to the USA during the time period 1867 until 1882 , and started to live as brick layer, later machine operator, the two latter ones as coopers, together with their families in the State of New York (NY). The three brothers Friedrich Wilhelm , Carl   Ludwig und Hermann   August ZWIRZ, who changed their names while living in the USA to William    August , Charles    Leo and Herman   August ZWIRTZ, alle three of them butcher, arrived in the USA in 1870/71 and settled with their families in the States of Missouri (MO), Kansas (KS) und Oklahoma (OK), where at a later stage they started farming. As last, Robert   Ferdinand ZWIRZ immigrated into the USA in 1884 and started to live as a farmer with his family in the State of Minnesota (MN).
